Spririted Away is a Japanese animated film from studio ghibli directed by hayao miyazaki and released on July 20, 2001, it touches on the theme: Drama, fantasy, adventure and it was until 2020 the biggest success in the history of Japanese cinema with 23 million spectators in Japan and 274 million dollars in revenue and they even received an oscar for best animated film and the golden bear for best film in 2002.
Synopsis
The film tells the story of Chihiro, a little girl who, on her way to her new home with her parents, finds herself passing through a mysterious tunnel, at the end of which they discover an abandoned theme park. While walking through it, her parents find a well-stocked restaurant and tell themselves that they can eat there as long as they pay for it. Disagreeing with this, the little Chihiro leaves to explore the village until she meets a young man who advises her to leave before sunset, but on her return, her parents are transformed into pigs and the shadows start to come alive. Who are these supernatural beings and how can she save her parents? Only her journey will tell.
